The Global Mental Health Advocacy Forum 2026, organised by the Global Mental Health Action Network and hosted by United for Global Mental Health, will take place in Iloilo City, Philippines, but can also be attended online. Online attendees will join via an interactive virtual lobby offering live sessions, networking opportunities, and a comprehensive library of digital resources. The Forum brings together civil society leaders, activists, practitioners, researchers, donors, and UN agencies from over 170 countries to strengthen global mental health advocacy.
The programme covers a wide range of critical themes shaping the future of global mental health, including deinstitutionalisation, mental health innovation, community-based care and task sharing, the intersection of climate change and mental health, sustainable financing, youth mental health and prevention, universal health coverage, suicide prevention, stigma, LGBTQI+ perspectives, and strategies for effective policy change.
